Natural Remedy?
Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone manages there endo naturally? And whether you find that your diet plays a huge factor? I’ve just about had enough of the abdominal pain, back pain, fatigue, head aches, irretable bowel, mood swings, shortness of breath, depression, heavy period, PAINFUL INTERCOURSE! I’ve been diagnosed for about 14mths, but have suffered a lot of these symptons since i first got my period, however they became more severe after i went off the pill, for other reasons. I don’t want to implant anything in my arm, or stop my cycle completely, but I’ve found that my diet really helps, especially if i follow an anti candida diet, cutting out the yeast/bacteria/sugar/caffiene/alcohol.
Does anyone else find that diet works? What about exercise? I’ve found that i cant do high intensity exercise otherwise i end up with a gut full of agony. Any other suggestions on how to deal with this diagnoses - or similarities?
Thanks, take care. Karina.

Taking the natural path can be really good for some people. I cant really say I’ve given it a proper go (although I have come off all medications except for pain relief and the pill) but things like alcohol and excersise do make a difference for me too. I’ve had all the symptoms you mentioned and was properly diagnosed about 2 years ago with a laparoscopy. I too am unable to do much exercise because of the pain it causes. Your blog has got me thinking though, I’m going to look into perhaps trying a new diet, maybe it will help? Thanks
Good Luck, sorry I couldnt be more help

HI, there i am so happy i found this site! i started a no yeast or dairy diet 2 weeks ago, the pain is getting much better, i however have also taken my self off the pill I am not reccomending that anyone does that because i know it helps with pain managment, it kept me bleeding constantly, for eight months continiously not to mention the weight gain and mood swings. i have also stared an exercise regamend, walking just plain old walking. cant do sit ups or anything that involves bending over, i am also taking vitamins, omega 3, prenatle, vit. B. and lots of water. i am still new to this but i am determined to get better, and without all the hormone crap. theres a Book called “back to eden” full of natural remedys for everything, it came out in the 60’s and was updated this last year it reccomends to cleanse your system throughly, then eat soy and soy products along with fresh fruit and veggies. no yeast or dairy. hard for me i love my milk, but i love not being in constant agony. when I get the name of the diet i am on I will post it. a good friend of mine had endo… 10 years ago she had to have a historectomy however, if she new about the diet sooner it would have taken away the endometreosis. is was to late for her but hopfully we can all work togather and find a simple cure, naturally. I have to live on pain meds but have dropped down by half since starting the diet. also she said that while she was on the diet even her menst. pain was gone.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that you should avoid soy and soy products. These contain high levels of phytoestrogens which can increase adhesions and growth of endometromas.
There is a book called the Anti Estrogenic Diet, which I would recommend, with some cautions. The main concern is that during the phases of the diet, it states that you should take cert pills, five of this and 3 of that, with no mention of the proper dossage or a warning to discuss supplements with your physician.
I had allergy testing done for both IgE and IgG antibodies as well as Candida, which was positive. I have found that avoiding these foods and light to moderate exercise (what you can handle) have helped.
I found Dr. Metzger’s Four Pillar approach to Endo helpful. Here is a link if you’re interested.

Hi. In my research I have read several things. First, endometriosis is believed to be an autoimmune disease that is estrogen dependent. Second, women with endo tend to have a lot of allergies, including food allergies. Third, there seems to be a connection with Candida levels and endo.
There is a book The Anti Estrogenic Diet, which I would recommend, with one or two cautions. There is a section that talks about cleansing and prescribes certain amounts of supplements, five of these, three of those, etc. There are no dosages listed. This is unsafe as supplements have different potencies. In addition everyone should consult their physician before taking supplements or attempting any type of “cleanse” diet. I also do not care for the ”phases” of the diet, that’s just personal preference.
That said the lists of anti estrogenic foods and the explanations found in the book were helpful to me. It did say that soy and soy products are phytoestrogens and can promote endometriosis growth and symptoms, which I found very interesting.
I have had IgG and IgE food allergy tests and a Candida titer. These were very beneficial and helped me tailor my diet to my specific needs.
There is an informative article on nutrition and endo that you may find interesting.

I have found that light to moderate exercise (what you can handle) has helped me a lot.
Dr. Metzger’s Four Pillars of healing has some valuable info on treatment of endo, if you are interested:

I am one of the Endo sufferers, more than 10 years. I have one child now 15 years old. Live in East Africa and that tells you, how difficult diagnosis was. It was found during the operation about Fibroids in 2006, chocolate form attaching everything together in my inside. I was seriously sick than words can tell.
I have been on Zoladex, Danazol, but I wasnt Ok for so long and the side effects made me become more unbearable, I had all the mood swinging and depressions night and day and I cant even explain how I managed to stay at work! I was too hot to anyone most of the time. Out of work for 3 - 4 or more days. Pains anytime especially during menstrual.
Until when I was tired of my Dr. I searched and searched on the Internet and found out that Chinese medicines can help. Also I found out about the Endo diet (Endo-resolved.com) and I now have that book and I try as much as possible to eat organically and stick to the diet.
I am on Chinese Traditional Medicines, together with the diet change, I tell you, I AM ONCE HAPPY and can now live with expectations. I have been on Chinese medicines for about 6 months and the diet for say 5 months. Last week I had a cool menstrual period, took pain killers and I was OK, no pains at all. Before my body could not notice pain killers and I wasnt able to eat as everything eaten would come out after only 5 minutes! I was in very bad shape. But now, I am happy, my body feels lighter, I feel comfortable, I can smile and sleep so perfect way. I am progressing. I am also trying to add more tomatoes in my diet since when I read that it can help.
What I want to encourage you is, try Traditional Chinese Medicines and change your Diet to combat the disease. Also think positively on more issues, try as much as possible to escape stress (before I used to worry on even small things, I was misserable!). I am sure you will find some relief just after some time, dont give up. Stury your body and whatever you eat. I now know what happens when I eat certain foods.
Your diet should be Wheat Free, Sugar Free, Soy Free, Red Meat Free (eat Fish and Chicken raised organically), Dairy Free, Tea, Coffee, Caffeine Free, Alcohol Free. There are lots of food for us, very interesting. Purchase the book from “Endo-Resolved.com” and use it to decide what to eat.
May God bless you.
